read properly-----

a car travels 16m in 4 sec and then 16 m in 2 sec. find the speed

speed=distancen/ time

=16+16 / 4+2

= 32 / 6

=5.333 m/s

but, when I calculate it is 5.2

How and Why?
Is there any other method?
Please explain the division method with steps..

Total distance covered S = 16 + 16 = 32 m

Total time t = 4 + 2 = 6 s

Average speed

 {v}(avg)  =  \frac{s}{t}  =  \frac{32}{6}  = 5.33 \: ms
