Depending on its nature a group blog is often journalism. Each post is an article, which may be factual or an opinion piece. All are approved by the blog’s editorial staff before publication, must like with newspapers.
A forum is simply a discussion board. There isn’t an editorial staff. There may be moderators to remove inappropriate material, but generally anyone can post topics in a forum.
You’ll notice the word choice - both have posts, but a group blog posts articles, while forums post topics.
