Take a beaker and fill half of it with water. Put a handful of wheat seeds and stir well. Wait for some time .

1. Are there seeds which float on water?
2. Would those be lighter or heavier than those which sink?
3. Why would they be lighter ?​

If some wheat seeds are added into a beaker half filled with water, the damaged seeds will float on the surface of water after some time. At the same time, the healthy seeds will settle down at the bottom. This is because the damaged seeds are lighter and healthy seeds are heavier.
