(a). The IUPAC name of the product CH_{3}CH_{2}CH_{2}Br is 1-Bromopropane  .

(b). The rule that governed the product is the anti markovnikov rule .

  • The molar mass of 1-Bromopropane is 122.993 g / mol .
  • In the anti markovnikov rule , when alkene is treated with hydrogen halide  ( HX ) in the presence of peroxides , the negative part of the acid will be added to that carbon of double bond which has more number of hydrogen .
