Both the statements are correct.
- Muscular tissues are composed of actin and myosin protein which exhibit the properties of contractibility and excitability. They are voluntary muscle which means that we can control them at our will. Impulses from central nervous system helps them contract and relax at the expenditure of energy.
- Nervous tissues on the other hand too shows excitability and helps in conduction of impulse from CNS to affected area. Nervous tissues comprises of neurons who can carry impulse either in the form of chemicals or in the form of electric current called as electrical synapse. Electrical conduction is faster than chemical conduction which involves a chemical called as Acetyl Choline.
