Read the passage below carefully and answers the questions :-
It was not possible to go for a walk that day. We had been wandering in the leafless shrubbery for an hour in the morning. But, since dinner the cold wind had brought with it such sombre clouds and penetrating rain that further going out of the house was out of question. This made me very glad since I did not like long walks, especially on chilly afternoons. Returning home in the raw twilight with frozen fingers and toes was dreadful to me. Moreover, my heart used to sadden with the scolding of Bessie - the nurse and I felt humiliated by the thought that I was physically inferior to Eliza, John and Georgianna Reed. Eliza, John and Georgianna were now clustered round their mama, Mrs. Reed in the drawing room : she lay reclined on a sofa by the fireside, and with her darlings about her ( for the time neither quarrelling nor crying ) looked perfectly happy. She had disallowed me from joining the group ; saying that she regretted of keeping me at a distance; but she must exclude me from privileges intended only for contented, happy little children until she heard from Bessie and also discovered by observing herself that I was endeavouring earnestly to acquire a more sociable and childlike disposition which would display a more attractive and cheerful manner- something lighter, franker, more natural. " What does Bessie say I have done? " I asked. "Jane, I don't like cavillers or questioners; besides, there is something truly forbidding in a child taking up her elders in that manner. Be seated somewhere; and until you can speak pleasantly, remain silent."
