1. People do not always state what they desire, instead they will give hints or a clue as to what they want/need.
2. They would need a fixed 'time period alone so that they would be able to focus on what they need to do to be able to negotiate with the other people such as distributive negotiations.
3. The reason that you would need to consult a specialist in the process of negotiation is because they might know a better way to negotiate with the competitor, these people would include veteran negotiators/ people that are experienced with negotiating
