Read the story and ans the above question..

One day robbers entered Tenali Raman's kitchen garden at the back of his
house after dark and hid themselves behind a bushy bean-climber. When
Tenali Raman went into the backyard to wash his feet before dinner, he
noticed the men hiding behind the bean-climber. He quickly entered the
house and hid all the jewellery carefully. Then, he yelled to his wife, "Have
you heard that robbers are roaming on the streets in the city during the
nights these days? Let us tie all your jewellery into a bundle and throw it into
the well. Once the place is rid of robbers we can easily take back the jewellery
from the well." A few minutes later, he threw two heavy bundles into the
well and went into the house, closing the doors behind him. After a while, he
stealthily entered the backyard through another way and kept a watch on
the robbers.
The robbers congratulated themselves on their good luck One fellow kept
guard beside the well and the other got into the well and began searching for
the jewellery. However long he tried, he could not spot the bundles of
jewellery. The fellow got out of the well and suggested, "Brother! I could not
get those bundles, howeverhard I searched. The well seems to be full. Unless
weempty the well, we will not find any jewellery."
The robbers at once started drawing out water from the well. Unseen by
them, Tenali Raman made small burrows and directed the water to the
plants and the trees in the backyard. He saw to it that the water was not
wasted. The robbers kept on drawing more and more water from the well
but the water did not seem to become less. Meanwhile, it was dawn. Again,
one robber got into the well and after a thorough search came out
disappointed. The second robber got into the well and said, "I shall try." He
came out of the well after some time with two doth bundles in his hand. On
untying the bundles, they found only stones inside. Realising that Tenali
Raman had played a trick on them, they tried to slip away through the back
door. Tenali Raman saw them and called out, "Hey!Icould water most of my
trees because of your help. A few plants are left now. Why don't you draw
water for them too." Hearing this, the robbers ran away as fast as they could!
