, admired by everyone, Jstaring at the world beyond the glass, till a thi
broke into the shop one night
. He picked me up along with a few of my o
brothers and shut us in a coarse cloth bag. That was the end of my enchar
life. I travelled far and wide, in heat, rain and snow, with my new master. I
liked me so much that he wore me everywhere. But he carelessly let them
dry and scraped it off with nails till my shiny leather surface became ragge
and worn out. One day
, as he tried to jump over a fence, I was caught in th
barbed wire. I cried out in pain when my master tried to shake his foot loc
and ripped me apart. I lay there, in the mud, weeping and alone till someo
swept me under this tree with other lost and forgotten shoes.
