In the Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart", Ikemefuna was a 15 years old boy who from the Mbaino, the neighboring clan, was given to Umofia. As a sacrifice a woman from who was killed in Umofia he was given to neighboring clan.
Ikemefuna lived with the Okonkwo's family and was appreciated by Okonkwo more than his own son, Nwoye.
