the Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhiji decide to start on non cooperation movement which was a non violent movement it was decided that no one should co-operate with the government.
students boycotted school and colleges closed boycotted low quotes we can refuse to pay text and government servants left government jobs.
the movement become violent in 1922.Twenty two policeman were burnt alive by the Satyagrahis at Chauri - Chaura (U .P) when this news reached Gandhiji he called off the movement.
