Mawsynram

It is the wettest place on earth located in the state of Meghalaya of India. It is well known for it's Stalagmite and Stalactite caves. It receives an average rainfall of 1187 cm per annum. It receives huge amount of rainfall because the monsoon winds get trapped due to the surrounding, i.e., mountain barriers. Thus they rain heavily in that region.
