It was the opportunity of a lifetime. Not everyone gets to meet President Kalam. As much as I had seen him on TV and in the newspapers, I had no idea that he would be that friendly a person. Dr. Kalam is the greatest scientist that modern India has ever had. So, we expected him to speak extensively about missiles and India's standing in the world. Instead, he announced that his speech would be a short one, because he did not want the students to get back home late. It was so unexpectedly wonderful. How can someone of his level actually think about seemingly small things like that? As promised, his speech was short and had nothing to do with missiles at all. He talked about being true to yourself and never giving up in life. Later, we were allowed to go and meet him individually. I had planned a bunch of questions to ask him, but the minute I came face to face with him, I went blank. He looked at me for a few seconds and then smiled. I was so much in awe of him that I was speechless. The best part is that he understood that and started asking me questions. He asked me about me my name and then my hobbies. Sooner than ever, I found myself having a wonderful conversation with the great man. His thoughtfulness saved me from tremendous embarrassment ! I will probably write a letter thanking him for his help.

Answer:
On Children’s Day, Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was interacting with the students of 100 selected schools of Delhi. You were one of the lucky ones to be selected from your school. Pen down your feelings and experience of meeting the ‘Missile Man of India’ in the form of a diary entry, in about 100–150 words. (8 marks)
