Recessive trait and dominant trait meaning

The character which express in f1 generation is known as dominant trait & which doesn't known as recessive trait.
Let's take an example : T= Taller character
t= Short character
Now if we cross these two trait then results will be TT, Tt, tT, tt.
In the middle cases the plants will be of taller character coz taller character is dominant upon short character.
