path of 2 m width is surrounded to a lawn
so the lenght of path would be 15+4=19
and the breadth of path would be 36+4=40

Now Area of lawn=l*b
=15*36=540m²

and the area of lawn with the path
=l*b
=19*40
=760m²

Now the area of path
=area of lawn with the path-Area of lawn
=760-540
=220m²

Cost of levelling of the path is Rs16/m²

So the cost =220*16
=₹1540

solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area of rectangle = 36 × 15

=> Area of rectangle = 540 m²

=> X = 540 m²

we know that length and breadth increase by 2 m from their both ends.

so,

=> B = 15 + 2 + 2 = 19 m.

=> L = 36 + 2 + 2 = 40 m.

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle + path = L × B

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 40 × 19

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 760 m²

=> Z = 760 m²

=> Area of path =( Z ) - ( X )

=> Area of path = 760 - 540

=> Area of path = 220 m²

Area of path 220 m².

To finding cost of surfing the path

=> Area × 16 = 220 × 16= Rs 3520

Hence cost of levelling the path

is Rs 3520
