In this question , Height of the cylinder = 6 cm.
And , Circumference of the base = 22 cm
So, 2*22/7*r = 22.
i.e. r = 7/2 cm.
Apply the formula of volume of cylinder = 22/7*r^2*h
i.e. 22/7 * 7/2 * 7/2* 6 cubic cm = 231 cubic cm.

Answer:

The volume of the cylinder is 231 \: cm {}^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Clearly, the length of the given rectangle is the perimeter of the base of the given cylinder and the breadth of the rectangle is the height of the cylinder.

∴ height = 6 cm ⇒h = 6 cm.

Let r be the radius of its base.

Then, 2\pi \: r \:  = 22 \: cm

2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r = 22 \: cm

r =  \frac{7}{2} \:  cm

∴ volume of the cylinder = \pi \: r {}^{2}h \: cubic \: units

= ( \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times 6) \: cm {}^{2}

= 231 {}^{3}

Hence, the volume of the cylinder is 231 {}^{3}
