Question :- Reena dialed a phone number 100 times in a week out of which she gets the response the highest two digit prime number of times. The probability that she will not the response is ?

Solution :-

Prime Number :-

  • Prime numbers are numbers that have only 2 factors , 1 and themselves. Ex. 2, 3, 5, 7, and 11.
  • Their are 25 Prime numbers between 1 and 100.
  • Largest two digit Prime number is 97.

now, in question we have given that, Reena dialed a phone number 100 times in a week out of which she gets the response the highest two digit prime number of times.

So, we can say that,

→ Reena gets response = 97 times.

Therefore,

→ Reena did not get response = 100 - 97 = 3 times.

Hence,

→ The probability that she will not the response is = (favorable outcomes.) / (Total number of outcomes.) = (3/100). (Ans.)
