Reena is 20 years younger to her mother.after 10 year,her mother will be twice as old as Reena will be then.how old is Reena now ?

let her mother's age be x
Reena's age= (x-20) years

After 10 years

mother's age= (x+10)
Reena's age= (×-20+10)= (x-10) years

Mother's age= 2×(Reena's age)

x+10= 2×(x-10)
x+10=2x-20
10+20=2x-x
30=x

HER MOTHER'S AGE=30 years

REENA'S AGE= x-10 =30-10
=20 years

=> let reena be y and her mother be x

=> x -20 = y

=> x-y=20 equation (I)

=> x+10= 2(y+10)

=> x +10 =2y +20

=> x -2y =10 equation (ii)

now subtract (I) from (ii)

=> x-2y=10
=> -x +y = -20

=> y=10 years
Reena is 10 years old

=> x= 30 years
her mother is 30 years old
