Given:

Reena scored 28 marks in math in July 2019 exam.

In September' exam, she scored 32 marks out of 40 in the math.

To find:

The percentage increase in the marks scored by her?

Solution:

The total marks = 40 marks

Reena's maths score of July exam = 28 marks

Reena's maths score of September exam = 32 marks

∴ Increase in the marks of maths = 32 - 28 = 4 marks

Now,

The percentage increase in marks is,

= \frac{Increase\:in\:marks}{Previous\:marks\:of\:July} \times 100

= \frac{4}{40} \times 100

= \frac{1}{10} \times 100

= \bold{10\%}

Thus, the percentage increase in the marks scored by Reena is → 10%.
