Reflex arc, have evolved in animals, in order to perform quick responses, as the thinking process of brain is not fast enough.

Because there are some actions we need to take very fast but if the relfex arc is not there the sence would be passed to brain then it would take alot of time.for eg - when we put our hand in fire the reflex action would immediately direct us to move our hand but if it were to go to brain then in the time span our hand would have burn badly. Hence reflex arcs are involved in animals
