Refractive index of glass=1.5,refractive index of water=1.33; what will be the velocity of light in water if in glass medium it is 2×10^8m/s​

n = c/v

c = 3 ×10^8 (speed of light in vaccum)

v = speed of light in that medium

n = 1.33

133/100 = 3 × 10^8/v

v = 3×10^10/133

v = 0.022556391×10^10

v = 2.2 × 10^8

Refractive index of glass=1.5

velocity of light in glass medium=2×10⁸m/s

refractive index of water=1.33

refractive index formula=velocity of light in air medium/velocity of light in the medium

therefore velocity of light in water medium=3×10⁸/1.33=2.3×10⁸m/s
