critical angle would be sin-¹(4/5)

given, Refractive index of water, μ_w = 4/3

refractive index of glass, μ_g = 5/3

we have to find critical angle when light ray travels from glass to water.

we know, To find critical angle refracted angle should be 90°.

from Snell's law,

μ_gsinθ = μ_wsin90°

⇒sinθ = μ_w/μ_g

= (4/3)/(5/3) = 4/5

⇒θ = sin-¹(4/5)
