Syed Abdul Rahim born on August 17th 1909 in Hyderabad. He was an Indian football team coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 to 1963.

He was appointed as the head coach in 1950. He is considered as the architect of modern indian football.

He was a teacher and motivator. His tenure as a coach is considered as 'golden age' of football in India.

He led the football team of India to semi-finals for the Melbourne Olympic football tournament in 1956. That was the time, India was the first ever Asian country to reach this place. He died on June 11th 1963 in Hyderabad.
