Planaria is a fully differentiated multi-cellular organism which has the ability to grow into a new individual. This is due to the regenerative cells which are present in it's body. These cells grow, proliferate and give rise to a mass of cells. From this mass of cells, different types of tissues develop. This process takes place in an organised sequence called development.
