What are regular and irregular reflection??
• REGULAR REFLECTION - in this type of reflection, the incident rays are parallel to the reflected rays. This type of reflection is called regular reflection. It occurs only on a smooth surface.
• IRREGULAR REFLECTION - in this type of reflection, incident rays are parallel but reflected rays are not parallel to incident rays. It occurs when the surface is rough.
Now their differences :-
Regular reflection :-
1. Both incident and reflected rays are parallel.
2. It occurs when the surface of reflection is smooth and plane.
3. For example :- reflection on a plane mirror.
Irregular reflection :-
1. Both incident and reflected rays are not parallel, only incident rays are parallel.
2. It occurs when the surface of reflection is rough.
3. For example :- reflection on sand.
Hope it's right :D
