Solution :-
we know that, area of a ∆ with sides as a, b and c is ,
- √[s * (s - a) * (s - b) * (s - c)
- where s = (a + b + c)/2
given that,
- a = 5 cm
- b = 6 cm
- c = 7 cm
then,
- s = (a + b + c)/2
- s = (5 + 6 + 7)/2
- s = 18/2
- s = 9 cm.
therefore,
→ Area of wall = √[s * (s - a) * (s - b) * (s - c)]
→ Area of wall = √[9 * (9 - 5) * (9 - 6) * (9 - 7]
→ Area of wall = √[9 * 4 * 3 * 2]
→ Area of wall = 3 * 2 * √(3 * 2)
→ Area of wall = 6√6 cm². (Ans.)
Hence, The area of the wall will be 6√6 cm².
