Advertising is a method of disseminating information about products and services in promoting their usage by target audiences. But, advertising is also a wonderful tool used in the education and spread of social messages.
In a democracy, manufacturers of products and institutions rendering service use this potent medium in addressing people at large through press, radio, television and so on. The Government too uses all these media in publicising its latest schemes and communicating social messages, popular ones among them being the drive for inoculation, the ill effects of tobacco and alcohol, the swachh bharat ahiyan etc.
