Relation between cartesian and polar co ordinates distance fomula

this is the relation between 2 dimensional cartesian coordinate system and 2 dimensional polar coordiantes. Just a little point that here 2 dimensions means that a point can be represented by using 2 values (x & y). Similary we can find a value of any point in space using 3 dimension. And the relation between 3 dimensional cartesian coordinates and 3 dimensional polar coordinates can be specified by two other polar coordinate system (cylindrical and spherical polar coordinates)
