The basic fact that all of them were river valley based civilisation remains, though we have many cities in uneven terrains and arid regions that belonged to Harappan culture, which may either have been outposts for trade, or were well used with water harvesting techniques to use the little available water through rains. Other than that a lot of features that were looked into as similarities by the earlier archeologists/historians were disputed by the later scholars, as they were apparently biased in their intrepretation by looking the Harappan culture through the prism of its contemporaries, rather than seeing and analysing it in its own right.
