according to the Bohr model the relation between potential energy and total energy is ----
1. potential energy for the revolving electron
PE = -kze²/r
2. kinetic energy for the revolving electron
KE = kze²/2r
then the total energy
T.E. = PE+KE
= kze²/2r - kze²/r
TE = - kze²/2r
therefore
PE = 2TE
kze²/r = 2x kze²/2r
1. potential energy for the revolving electron
PE = -kze²/r
2. kinetic energy for the revolving electron
KE = kze²/2r
then the total energy
T.E. = PE+KE
= kze²/2r - kze²/r
TE = - kze²/2r
therefore
PE = 2TE
kze²/r = 2x kze²/2r
