Answer:

Mona Lisa is more beautiful than any Creation of Nature. There is a mild smile on the face and with eyes, half closed and half revealing, as if she has something to say, the total effect is such as any heart could desire.

The painting represents the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles, as it is told in the Gospel of John. Leonardo has depicted the consternation that occurred among the Twelve Apostles when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.

Johannes Gutenberg's printing press made it possible to manufacture large numbers of books for relatively little cost for the first time. Books and other printed matter consequently became available to a wide general audience, greatly contributing to the spread of literacy and education in Europe.

It is considered an exemplary work of the High Renaissance period. The School of Athens represents the central disagreement in western philosophy, the debate between philosophers concerned with matters of the spiritual world and those concerned with the physical world.

Galileo was the first person to use the telescope seriously for astronomy and in doing so he discovered the moons of Jupiter, the first clear example of bodies in orbit around a center other than the earth.

The aesthetic payoff of art was something that an individual could feel rather than an intellectual union of individual minds with the divine mind. Changes in the philosophy of beauty paralleled a changing status and function of art. No matter how skilled, medieval artists were largely anonymous conduits for a divine inspiration.
