Answer: Homeostasis is the body's ability to maintain a constant internal environment. The systems involved in this maintenance are the endocrine and nervous systems. When the body is unable to maintain homeostasis that means that one or both the systems are either damaged or not working properly. Now the adrenal glands are part of the endocrine system and in Addison's disease the adrenal glands are damaged. Addison's disease is basically a disease that disrupts homeostasis.
