A chromatin is a level of packaging of dna where you have a bundle of dna wrapped around a histone. A bunch of these dna wrap around a histone coming together forms a chromatin. during mitosis in the S phase the chromatin replicates and form a sister chromatid which is connected by a centromere. The 2 sister chromatid connected by a centromere as a whole is caled a chromosome.
hope this helps !!!!
