Considering it to be an open-minded question,  I am giving a general answer.

Perishability of food substances refers to the instance when the quality of food goes bad or the food gets spoilt. Expiry is also a term used in reference to the perishability of food.

Bulk purchases refer to purchasing food substances in large quantities. This is usually done for hotels, restaurants, or in households because it is more cheap and cost-effective.

However, it is important to store them well as the shelf life of most food substances is less. So, if it is not stored under proper preservative conditions, the food purchased in bulk quantities can get spoilt and may perish soon.

Unless, the demand for the particular food product is high and only if it can be consumed with the given expiry time, the bulk purchases of food can be prevented from perishing.
