Relative atomic mass of sulphur means that atomic mass of sulphur is 32 times heavier than the mass of 1/12 of carbon-12 atom. It doesnt mean that 32 is the actual mass of sulphur.

by this we understand that the mass of sulphur is relative to the standard mass u.
the standard mass is the 1/12 of the atomic mass of carbon 12 isotope..
thus mass of one proton or neutron = 1/12 of carbon 12 isotope that is 1i
so number of protons = 17
this number of neutrons = 18
thus mass = 17+18= 35
