Removal of gonads cannot be considered as a contraceptive option.? Why.​

As we all know, a good contraceptive method is the one which is safe, reliable, effective and "reversible". In the case of removal of gonads, once the gonads of a person are removed, they can not be put back into place in case their need arises. Therefore, it is obvious why the removal of gonads can not be considered as a method of contraception.

Removal of gonads or its parts is a surgical method of sterilization. Vasectomy and tubectomy are carried out in males and females respectively. These are very effective but their reversibility is very poor. So they are not good options for contraception.
