Renu buys ¾ kg potatoes and ⅝ kg tomatoes. She puts them in an empty bag, what is the weight of the bag now?

Weight of bag= 3/4+5/8

Lcm of 4 and 8=2×2×2=8

 =  >  \frac{3}{4}  \times  \frac{2}{2}  =  \frac{6}{8}

 =  >  \frac{5}{8}  \times  \frac{1}{1}  =  \frac{5}{8}

 =  >  \frac{6 + 5}{8}  =  \frac{11}{8}

So the bag weighs 11/8 kgs
