Diwali is the festival of Hindus... It is celebrated in the month of October and November... people also call it deepawali.... it is a festival of lights.. It is celebrated in honour of Lord Rama return to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.... 

For many preparation are made.. people clean their houses and shops.... they get them white washed.... shopkeepers and people their houses and shops and lightening them... the old and the young celebrate this festival with great pomp and show.....

At night their rows of lights.. candles are lighted... people worship goddess Laxmi and god Ganesha at night.... 

Some people burn cracker... it is harmful for we and our surroundings... 

people send sweets their friends and relatives and wish happy Diwali to each other... some people playing gamble on this day... it is a bad habit it has ruined many people... it should be stopped.... we should enjoy this festival in a good way....
