The students of our schools and the other schools besides the people of the city were participating in the camp. I was also enthusiastic for donating my blood. I was laid to bed with a soft ball in my hand. Then the process of extracting the blood off my body started. The process took more than half an hour. After it, along with the another donators, I was given fruits and milk. There were also very prominent people of the city who were there to donate blood. Recently, a successful Blood Donation camp was organised in Dubai to assist the victims of a train accident. It was organized by the DHA from 2nd January 2019 till 22nd January 2019.The main camps were at the NMC and Saudi German hospitals.
All the preparations such as beds, sanitation etc., were made. A team of local doctors of the hospital were a part of the campaign. They helped collect the blood without any problems, and also explained that the donation of blood does not weaken them, and the recovery takes place fast. There were many volunteers to donate their blood. Even many school and college children volunteered for this good deed. This resulted in a successful camp.
In the evening, on 22nd January, the head of the DHA gave a speech, thanking all the people who donated for participating in the camp. He said that the blood collected will be used for saving the lives of the injured and the sick victims of the accident. He also said that they will continue to organize such camps to help as many people as possible, and participation would be appreciated.
