A Terrible Road Accident in Dhaka
Sujon Ahmed,Dhaka, 10 January: A girl child was killed brutally in a road mishap near Mymensingh Medical College Hospital yesterday.
The accident took place at 1.30 pm on the by-pass road of Mymensingh town. A Dhaka bound speedy truck ran over the girl while she was crossing the road on her way back from school. Her head was crushed under the wheels of the truck. All these happened in an instant.
It is reported that the child named Swapna (8), daughter of Ismail Hossain, was a student of local government primary school reading in class III.
Soon after the accident, a lot of people from the neighborhood rushed to the spot, but the killer truck managed to escape in the mean time. Finding the victim dead and lying in a pool of blood, people became agitated. Consequently, the traffic in the road stopped for several hours.
After a couple of hours, the DC of Mymensingh along with police force hurried to the spot, dispersed the agitating mob and managed to re-operate the traffic.
The dead body was sent Mymensingh Medical College for autopsy. A case was also filed to the local police station in this connection.

Three Cars Collide

7th March 2018; New Delhi: Today, 2:37 am, On Rasina Hills, Three cars collide with each other in a pretty peculiar manner. A car, Toyota Innova, was driving on the Rasina hill exceeding the speed. The driver was slightly tipsy as he was returning from a friend's birthday party. As the driver was tipsy and sleepy, He didn't notice the black Hyundai Verna in front of him and crashed into the car. The Verna, Due to sudden force was pushed forward which resulted in crashing with the car in front of it which happened to be a Honda Civic.
The driver in Toyota Innova was a 32-year-old man who was badly injured as his car did not provide the facility of an air-bag. He was the only one traveling in the car. He is now in the hospital and as soon as he recovers, He will be under the custody of the Delhi Police as he was drunk and driving.
The Black Hyundai Verna has three passengers and a driver. He claims that they were returning from a wedding. The driver was a 40-year-old man who is safe unharmed as his car had air-bags. On the passenger seat, his wife was seated and the back seat was occupied by his children a son and daughter 15 and 13-year-old respectively. All the members of the family were left unharmed.
On the other hand, the driver of Honda Civic was a 20-year-old young man who was left with a fractured arm. His car, however, was crashed up pretty badly. Thankfully, he claims to have insurance for his car. This young man claims to be driving up to the hospital to visit his sick Grandfather. Too bad, he ended up injured a well.
The fault of one person who drove as he was drunk, lead to the crashing of three cars with people of different age groups, one consisting of a family.
