Bal Bharati PUBLIC SCHOOL 111 Vo)) LTE + LTE1 LTE2 47 ll 82% REPORT ON EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK CLASSES: IV to VI "The World is a book, and those who do not travel read but a page - St. Augustine Excursions and Tours form an important part of educative experience. Not only do the students discover new places but also learn self-reliance and taking care of themselves. As a part of this experience, an excursion to the famous Jim Corbett National Park was organized. on 21 and 22 September 2018. A total of 84 students from classes IV to VI, accompanied by 9 teachers and HM (Pr) went on this wonderful trip to India's oldest National park Report by: Ms. S Chakraborty, D.Khanna Q Day 1 (21 September 2018) The students and teachers started for the trip at about 5:30 AM in comfortable AC - Coaches. After a brief stopover for breakfast at Haveli, Gajraula, the coaches drove on and reached the Infinity Resort at Sitabani situated at the periphery of the N ational Park at about 3 PM. The sylvan surroundings of the resort and the babbling brook nearby removed any vestiges of fatigue. Group 1 was soon ready to embark on the jungle safari. Traveling in a convoy of jeeps, the students were excited to see the verdant forests all around. The excitement was palpable when the students could observe a herdof deer. The safari was for 2 hours after which everyone returned to the resort for a sumptuous dinner, which brought the wonderful day to an end. Day 2 (22 September 2018) It was an early morning for group 2 who went for the Jungle safari. After breakfast, the students proceeded to the Jim Corbett Museum at Kaladhungi. The students keenly looked at old pictures, paintings and the taxidermy specimens of animals on display. The group also visited the Garjia temple which is uniquely positioned on top of a big rock in the middle of River Kosi. After these visits the group having lunch at the resort, started return journey for school with a stopover at Haveli, Gajraula for refreshments. The group reached school at about 10:00 PM and the students were handed back to their guardians thus bringing these wondrous two days to a glorious end. Overall, it was a beautiful excursion which helped the students appreciate nature and the need to preserve our forests and animals living therein. It is hoped that this excursion would create lasting impressions on young minds about the need to conserve our environmental heritage. 4+ Fond memories !!!! HM (Primary)
