The Annual Go Green Day was celebrated on Wednesday, 13 July, at the School of Graduate Studies, Jain University by the Department of Interior Design. It was celebrated mainly to support the cause of reducing the carbon foot prints and also a thanksgiving to the nature. The celebration began with an interesting speech by Chief Guest Dr. Rajani Jairam, Dean, Student Welfare, Jain University and a speech by The Guest of Honour, Mr. Badhrinath Shantharam.
The students enthralled the audience by a dance performance and a very informative mime act which themed the importance of water and greenery. Later on, a motivational talk was delivered by Head Capt. Dr. Rekha Sinha on saving our mother earth which was followed by the vote of thanks.
There were a lot of stalls organized by the students which included the handmade furnitures by students, ecofriendly products, handmade products, games and food stalls. The event got good media coverages and ended up being a great succes.
