• We draw a line XY extending to ∞ in both the direction .
• We take the Point 0 in its centre and name it as O.
• Then , we take 3 units to the right side on the number line and name OA.
• After drawing the 3 units , we divide the units 3 and 4 in three equal halfs.
• We extend the line OA to OB.
• Now , draw the line & the representation is done.
• Hence ,
• The line OB represents 3 whole 1/2 on the number line.
