So 5 1/3 wil lie in between 5&6

Draw a line with 0 at one end and 6 at the other. Then mark 1..2..3 and so on. Draw an arrow head on each end of the line.

Divide the line in between those two numbers into 3 parts(draw 2 standing lines). Name those 3 parts as 5 1/3 and 5 2/3. Circle 5 1/3

So -29/4= -7 1/4

Draw a line with -8 at the starting end and 0 at the ending. Draw an arrow head at each end.

So -7 1/4 is in between-8&-7.

So divide the line between -8 & -7 into 4 parts (draw 3 lines). Name those parts as

-7 1/4 , -7 2/4 and ,-7 3/4. Circle -7 1/4

Also show that -29/4=-7 1/4
