Upon heating, ferrous sulphate crystals ( green in color) lose water as they have water of crystallization and forms anhydrous ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) that is white in color.

Upon heating further, anhydrous ferrous sulphate is decomposed and produces ferric oxide (Fe2O3), sulphur dioxide (SO2) and sulphur trioxide (SO3) gas.

FeSO₄.7H₂O + heat  → FeSO4 (s) + 7 H2O

2 FeSO4 (s)  + heat  →  Fe2O3 (s) + SO2 (g) + SO3 (g)

Hope It Will Help.❤
