Your Answer:

Solving the Equation to locate it on Number line

\tt 3x + 15 = 0 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 3x = -15 \\\\ \Rightarrow \tt x = \dfrac{-15}{3} \\\\ \Rightarrow \tt x = -5

So, We have to represent -5 on number line.

So, check the first pic for the answer.

Now Solving it represent it on Cartesian Plane.

\tt 3x + 15 = 0 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 3x = -15 \\\\ \Rightarrow \tt x = \dfrac{-15}{3} \\\\ \Rightarrow \tt x = -5

So, check the second pic for the answer

Extra Information:

How To plot a Point on Graph?

To plot a point on Graph we just need few steps.

  • First solve the Equations for x and y, at least find two values.
  • Second, each value of x and y will create a Point.
  • Locate them on the Graph. By knowing the Symbols of Quadrant in the Cartesian Plane.
  • So, Join the points, here the line formed is the graph of Linear Equation.

<font color="blue">

3x + 15 =0 \\ - > 3x = - 15 \\ - > x = \frac{ - 15}{3 } \\ - > x= - 5

now we have to represent -5 on number line

so for the number line , check at the attachment

CARTESIAN PLANE:-

3x + 15=0 \\ - > 3x= - 15 \\ - > \: x= \frac{ - 15}{3} \\ - > x= - 5

see at the second attachment
