1. Draw a no. line and mark 1,2,3...on it at equal intervals of 3 cms
2. at 3, draw a line straight up that is 3 cms long,A
3. Draw another line from that is 90° at A
4. Join this to 0
5. at A draw another line at 90° taking A as 0°
6. this is B
7. Join 0 and B
8. with a rounder take the length from 0 to B and draw an arc on the no. line
9. the place where it intersects that is √11
