Abstraction is the representation of only the essential features of any object and not the implementation details.

We might notice that we don't require to know the details of the technologies to operate systems.

For example, we don't know the internal parts of a camera and it's mechanisms. The camera is simply provided with few number of buttons and switches. This is an example of abstraction.
