Populations of organisms with well defined places in the ecosystem use their ability to reproduce. The consistency of DNA copying during reproduction is important for the maintenance of the body design features that allow the organism to use the particular niche. Reproduction is therefore linked to the stability of population of species.

Answer:

Reproduction can be defined as the process which new individuals of the particular species is formed on earth. The stability of population is ensured only when reproduction takes place.

The production of new individuals is helpful because the the rate at which the  older individuals are dying, new individuals should be formed as such rate to ensure the stability of a population.

Hence, the reproduction is also important to provide the stability of organism on earth.
