Republic day in India is celebrated every year with great honour on 26th of January to honour the Constitution of India as it came into force on the same day in the year 1950. It had replaced the Government of India Act, 1935 into the governing document of the India. At this day, a national holiday is declared by the Indian Government. The new Indian constitution was sketched and approved by the Indian Constituent Assembly and decided to celebrate it on 26th of January every year as India became a republic country.

As Independence Day in India is celebrated to enjoy the freedom of India from the British Rule, Republic Day in India is celebrated to commemorate the coming of its own constitution into force. Officially it is celebrated every year in the national capital of India (New Delhi) at the Rajpath in the presence of the President of India. Mini celebrations are also take place in the state capitals in the presence of the governor of the state by spreading out the National Flag of the country.

January 26 is declared as the gazetted holiday all over the country by the Government of India. It is celebrated throughout the India with great enthusiasm by the students and teachers in the schools, colleges, universities and other educational institution.

An excellent parade and salute event is held by the military team at the Rajpath in front of the India Gate in the New Delhi, India.

            Republic Day

India is a great country with it's great biodiversity and history. India is one of the most developed country all over the world. On 26th January, we become a republic country from the dominion of Britishers in 1950. Britishers ruled for country for about 150 years, After lot of struggle and effort by Indian freedom fighters, India finally got independence on 15th August 1947. After getting independent, there were still some things and rules that need to be changed which were applied by britishers, In short India needs it's own constitution.

Constitution of India is written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and this constitution was approved by our First prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. From 26th January 1950, India started to follow the constitution and it's rules. There are about 380 articles in our constitution, each article defines the different things.

We should remember our Freedom Fighters who really struggled and worked to get the India independent. Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya Tilak, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose have struggled a lot against the britishers to get India Independent.

Particularly, we should thank to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar who architect the Constitution of India. Today, India is one of the top-most developed country in the world. From last 50 years, India is a fastest progressive country all over the world. Our leaders and Freedom Fighters have struggled a lot to get republic nation. If this leaders weren't part of this country, then maybe, today we were living under the britishers rule.

Today, we should pledge to our motherland to make our country Poor free, Corruption free, Narrow-Mindedness etc. Let's make India a clean country free our corruption and Poor people. About Billion people lives in India with unity and with the same thoughts. This make the India a great country. Today, India is one of the most visited country all over the world, which directly highlights that, India is a developing country.

Today India is best in the fields of Education, Science and technology, Research and development, Stock Market, Automobiles, Industrialization etc. This development and progress is just because "Today India is a republic country''. Our freedom fighters and Leaders gave a great contribution to get India freedom and Independent.

Let's take a pledge today to be responsible for Indian citizens development, needs and our country's development.
